instructive website requirements:

Your final project will be an advanced website on a subject of your choosing. This project asks you to join the skills you acquire in the HOT book (the practical) with what you know/learn about instructional design, learning, and multimedia (the theoretical) through our discussions and the course readings. The project should represent at about 15 minutes of continuous activity. To clarify, that is not to say 15 minutes of movement or animation, but 15 minutes of activity on the part of a learner. The project should be a multimedia lesson created using Flash and employing many of the skills acquired during the course. The time dimension above is guidepost rendered primarily to help give a rough idea of how much content/interaction to construct. The project will be evaluated according to the following criteria:
Overall Quality: 7 points

Contains a professional visual quality
All content is well integrated and appropriate to project

 
Length and Comprehensiveness: 7 points

Represents approximately 15 minutes of learner activity
Incorporates sound application of learning theory and ID principles

 

Audio and Video:

6 points

Includes at least one user-controlled sound
Includes at least one video segment

 

Animation and Graphics:

6 points

Includes at least one instructor-created vector graphics
Includes at least one motion tween
Includes at least one shape tween

 
Navigation and Buttons: 7 points

Contains at least one user-navigated button
Is organized clearly and accounts for variability among users

Interactivity and Instructional Value: 7 points

The project employs significant levels of user engagement
The project incorporates user input through actionscripting, components, and/or input text fields.
